An overview of the Mid-West Japan Hereditary Tumor Cohort Study is shown in Figure 1.
The biobank stores DNA samples from individuals who have undergone genetic testing in clinical
practice and consented to the research. These samples are available for distribution and
collaborative research. Blood and tissue samples are stored using the OKADAI BIOBANK's facilities
and systems, which allow for long-term preservation and future research use. Additionally, an EDC
(Electronic Data Capture) system accumulates clinical information, including basic information,
genetic data, and epidemiological factors, and regular, prospective follow-up surveys are conducted.
Participants are followed annually to collect clinical information such as disease incidence and
blood test results.
